9 O'clock Jazz Special for 10/3

Trumpeter Chris Botti came to fame as Sting's trumpet player and has been touring and recording with his own band for many years.  His beautiful sweet tone on the horn has won him many fans, and his creative sense of harmony will have you smiling as you listen to his music.  Chris Botti is performing at the Orpheum theater, Sunday night October 9th.  Listen to Monday night's 9 O'clock Special to hear the sounds of Chris Botti and win tickets to his show at the Orpheum.

When it comes to jazz the DeFrancesco family is the Philly version of the Marsalis family.  Joey plays organ, Johnny plays guitar and it all started with Papa John.  Papa John and Joey now live here in Arizona and tonight Papa John comes by to talk about his career, his talented family and his jazz organ concert at the Kerr Cultural center next Wednesday night.  Hear some fun grooves and some good stories tonight on the 9 O'clock Special on KJZZ.
