Arizona is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn lower courts' rulings that the state can't take away state workers' same-sex domestic partner benefits.
Arizona’s unemployment rate dropped four-tenths of a percent in April, to 8.2 percent. But, only about half of that is due to more people finding jobs.
The state will release February’s unemployment numbers later this morning. Arizona’s jobless rate in January stood at 8.7 percent; that’s lower than both the month before, and January of last year.
