In January, Republican Governor Jan Brewer surprised many by
supporting the expansion of Medicaid in Arizona known as AHCCCS. Four months later, she is still drumming up support for the
plan, but some legislators and voters are not sold on the idea.
In recent months, Governor Jan Brewer has taken part in job expansion announcements in Arizona. Go Daddy's operations in the Valley are growing, and General Motors is bringing a new information technology center to Arizona.
The tech company GoDaddy
unveiled plans to build a 150,000 square-foot building in Tempe on Tuesday. The new building will come
with 300 new jobs over the next three years.
The Speaker of the Arizona House Andy Tobin says
lawmakers are on target for wrapping up their session, but he's willing to put
on the brakes to give Governor Jan Brewer a break.
