KJZZ in Phoenix seeks a Part Time News Reporter/Producer

Job Summary
Writes, produces and develops news stories and audio elements for radio news program(s). Works in the KJZZ radio station and contacts may include administrators, staff, volunteers and the general public. Works in team environment to meet department goals.

Duties
Writes, produces and develops news stories for broadcast; arranges interviews for on-air hosts; produces audio segments; generates stories for broadcast using print, on-line and other resources; edits audio using editing software and other related duties as assigned.

Desired Experience

Strong attention to detail; Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment; Experience in radio/television/newspaper/magazine producing, reporting and/or editing reports; Strong writing skills; Proficiency in production and writing as demonstrated by the submission of a portfolio containing the most recent stories. Excellent customer service skills; Ability to work independently and prioritize duties; Experience with web publishing preferred.

Job Summary
KJZZ in Phoenix seeks a motivated, self starting Senior Field Correspondent to tell timely, compelling spot and feature length stories from one of the most dynamic regions of the country.

Expectations
The Senior Field Correspondent is based in the Phoenix newsroom, but will be expected to be in the field, cultivating sources and ideas for stories that others are not telling and doing so across multiple media platforms.

The Senior Field Correspondent will work closely with the rest of the newsroom staff, including other KJZZ employees and reporters and editors on the Fronteras: The Changing America desk, a five-state regional network, based at KJZZ.

Coordinator Special Events

The Coordinator Special Events Person works with the KJZZ/KBAQ Development Team fundraising efforts to benefit the stations.  Coordinates
and plans special events with an emphasis on fundraising. Develops and cultivates relationships with donors, vendors, board members of Friends of Public Radio Arizona (FPRAZ), other staff and other college departments

70% - Coordinates and plans special events to include coordinating and supervising volunteer and staff committees; secures sponsorship and vendors; researches and evaluates facilities and services; Designs and prepares reports and recommendations for current and prospective events and official donor functions; develops content and writes internal/external communication for implementation of events; including planning, marketing and promotion.negotiates contracts and price; reviews and monitors budgets and goals; assists in financial bookkeeping for events and FPRAZ board as necessary; provides work direction to volunteers and assigned staff as needed. 

20% - Maintains current detailed notes, memos, records, files and database of sponsors, vendors, donors and volunteers; researches market and develops sources of supply for promotional materials, facilities and services; negotiates price assesses budget and goals; facilitates and handles confidential information and materials. 

10% - Assists in other areas of fundraising within the development team, pledge drives, mailings and individual solicitation meetings.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Information Technology department for KJZZ/KBAQ part of Rio Salado College is looking for a temporary network technician. This position will perform various desktop support technician functions, including but not limited to:

· Imaging, installing, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining computer software, hardware, and applications for use in the division of Public Service which operates KJZZ/KBAQ and Sun Sounds of Arizona Stations for Rio Salado College.
· This position will also install various operating systems and software on multiple workstations and support the user base of the Division.
