A major labor leader is worried a merger between
US Airways and American Airlines could cause a battle between two unions that
represent ground workers.
Scottsdale Healthcare and John C. Lincoln Health Network
announced Thursday an affiliation deal is in the works that keeps the two
systems separate but allows them to share some resources and increase their
market share.
Tempe-based US Airways and bankrupt American Airlines have officially announced their intention to merge. The new company will keep the American Airlines name and be based out of Dallas-Fort Worth.

boards are expected approve the merger Wednesday, after lengthy negotiations.
