As Congress prepares to vote on some high-profile gun control measures, the media
campaigns on both sides of the issue are making a last minute push to get their
messages heard in Arizona.
Arizona spent the third least amount of money per student in 2010, according to a new report from the U.S. Census Bureau. But, the state’s public schools chief says Arizona has one of the most cost-effective education systems in the country.
A proposed state election law aims to lift the veil of secrecy for organizations created to influence the outcome of elections. As KJZZ’s Paul Atkinson reports from Phoenix, the law would force the disclosure of donors who currently can remain anonymous.
