9 O'clock Jazz Special for 1/18

 Coltrane  John Coltrane and Thelonious Monk performed in a concert at Carnegie Hall.  It was a marvelous combination of talent but the tapes of the show were lost for years.  Recently they were found and the music was released on a new CD.  here at K-Jazz we've been playing this unique performance for you.  Tonight hear why jazz critics are so excited about finding this music and learn how the concert came together.  It's a special feature on John Coltrane and Thelonious Monk tonight on the 9 O'clock Special.  Jazz awakes at 8.
