Senator David Schapira running for Congressional District 9

State Senate Minority Leader David Schapira is one of the candidates running for the newly formed 9th Congressional District. He explains why he makes an excellent candidate for Congress.

Schapira says that his background as a teacher gives him insight into what the education system needs, and he could make a big contribution imminent education reform. He believes that education should be addressed at the local level by experts such as local districts and state boards. He also commented on healthcare reform, and the importance of keeping costs down while ensuring quality stays the same or improves. Schapira says he’s ready to speak to people across the political spectrum and wants to take that same mentality to Congress.
