Jimmy Cobb playing drums Legendary jazz drummer, Jimmy Cobb, is  a superb, mostly self-taught musician.  Jimmy's inspirational work with Miles, John Coltrane, and Cannonball Adderly in the 50s and 60s includes the masterpieces "Kind of Blue", "Sketches of Spain", "Someday My Prince will Come", and many, many other watershed Miles Davis and Coltrane recordings.  Jimmy Cobb is an NEA jazz master and continues to take jazz all over the world.   Hear the history of jazz when we feature Jimmy Cobb Monday night on the 9 O'clock special.
