Presumptive U of A President to be in Tucson

The likely next president of the University of Arizona will be in Tucson on Monday, to meet with members of the community. From Phoenix, KJZZ’s Mark Brodie reports.

MARK BRODIE: Dr. Ann Weaver Hart will be in Tucson for about two and a half days. She’ll meet with faculty, students, staff, administrators and the public. Regent Rick Myers is the co-chair of the Presidential Search Committee.

RICK MYERS: The key is to introduce Dr. Hart to the people of the community, and to the people of the state of Arizona. We’re excited to share just what an outstanding leader and what a great set of experiences she’s had.

BRODIE: Myers says after her time in Tucson, Hart will come to Phoenix for meetings. The Board of Regents is expected to take a final vote to approve her contract on Friday. Hart would start at the U of A on July 1.
