Joanne Ingram

Joanne Ingram came to KJZZ as a Morning Edition producer in 2012. She also works as a production assistant for Right This Minute.

While in graduate school at ASU’s Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Joanne was a digital journalist for Cronkite News Service and a reporter for News21. She covered stories such as how food deserts affect Arizona’s low-income families, the aftermath of a Salmonella outbreak in a small Rhode Island community and education barriers for stateless children in the Dominican Republic.

In 2011, Joanne was part of a group that won a Broadcast Education Association award for the student-produced website State of Change. She also contributed to the News21 project, “How Safe Is Your Food?” which won a 2011 Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists for online in-depth reporting.

In addition to her Master’s degree, Joanne holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of New Mexico. She is married and has a daughter.
