Economists take on Arizona's short-term pros and cons

Alan Maguire, President of the Maguire Company, and Dennis Hoffman of the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University offer perspectives on when Arizona will return to its prosperous, pre-recession mode. Maguire and Hoffman both believe Arizona should try to attract companies and jobs from California, but Hoffman warns that Arizona's competitors--like Texas--will be eager to point out the state's shortcomings, including spending on K-12 education.
