2013 Legislative session preview

Arizona's 2013 legislative session starts on Jan. 14 with Governor Jan Brewer's State of the State address.

Now that Republicans no longer have super-majorities in the House and Senate -- and the state's economy is on the upswing -- some observers expect lawmakers to focus on K-12 education and AHCCCS funding.

Here and Now Host Steve Goldstein talks with KJZZ's Government and Politics Reporter Mark Brodie about House Minority Leader Chad Campbell's ideas for funding school resource officers to help protect campuses.

And Dana Naimark of Children's Action Alliance, Glenn Hamer of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce, and Jim Small of the Arizona Capitol Times talk about their expectations for the session and whether common ground can be found.
