All Things Considered... Reporting in a Crisis
Zone![]() When the 7.9-magnitude earthquake hit China's Sichuan province on May 12, NPR reporters Melissa Block and Robert Seigel were already in Chengdu preparing to launch an All Things Considered series about life in this vast nation. Now they're providing eyewitness accounts of the destruction and stories of survival, with compelling insight into the mindset of the people they have been collecting stories from weeks preceding the disaster. Listen to their stories on npr.org and tune in for continued coverage of the aftermath on All Things Considered, weekdays 3-6 p.m. and weekends at 4 p.m. on KJZZ. Wait, Wait... Wins Peabody It's no surprise that the show's irreverent host, Peter Sagal would take a slightly different stance, "Everyone benefits from hearing the week's news treated with the lack of respect it deserves. We are thrilled and grateful for this honor and with this kind of encouragement, will probably behave even worse in the future." The producers of Wait, Wait... wish to thank the 2007 newsmakers and celebrities for providing the fodder. KJZZ wishes to thank its listeners for providing the dough to bring this one-of-a-kind show to the Arizona airwaves.
