2008 EDWARD R. MURROW REGIONAL AWARD
The Radio-Television News Directors Association has announced the 2008 regional winners of the Edward R. Murrow Awards for excellence in electronic journalism. The Radio-Television News Directors Association has been honoring outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971. Murrow's pursuit of excellence in journalism embodies the spirit of the awards that carry his name. Murrow Award recipients demonstrate the spirit of excellence that Edward R. Murrow made a standard for the broadcast news profession.

KJZZ Capitol Coverage
The Arizona Capitol Times recently announced the Best of the Capitol Awards, giving KJZZ's Capitol Coverage Team top honors for their news coverage. Congratulations to Mark Brodie, Dennis Lambert and their team for another year of outstanding journalism.
 
2007 Murrow Awards
2007 EDWARD R. MURROW REGIONAL AWARD
The Radio-Television News Directors Association has announced the 2007 regional winners of the Edward R. Murrow Awards for excellence in electronic journalism. RTNDA received 3,150 regional entries. Judges gave 587 awards to 280 stations in 14 categories, including overall excellence, spot news, continuing coverage and investigative reporting, among others. Hear the KJZZ reports which were singled out for distinction this year.
 
2006 Murrow Awards
KJZZ, Arizona's premier National Public Radio station, has won two regional Edward R. Murrow awards for excellence in journalism. Both awards are for an audio journal series called "The Hyzdu Diaries: The life and times of a career minor leaguer", produced by KJZZ News Director Mark Moran. The series won the Murrow award for sports reporting and for best feature story.
 
2005 Arizona Associated Press Awards

The Arizona Associated Press Broadcasters Association recognized the KJZZ News Team with the following awards for 2005.
 
2005 Murrow Awards
KJZZ News won two regional Edward R. Murrow Awards in 2005. Mark Moran was recognized for his story on efforts to create a Chinese National baseball team. Rene Gutel won an award for her story the local, Nintendo inspired rock group called the Mini Bosses.
