Glendale and Tribe Clash Over Casino

Arizona School First to go 200 Days
Arizona law calls for kindergarten through 12th grade students to
attend school 180 days a year. One east Phoenix school district is the first in Arizona to extend its school year by going to a 200 day schedule. Students at Balsz Elementary began
last week, and won't get out until mid June. KJZZ's Paul Atkinson reports.

Upscale CityNorth Project Stalled
An innovative 144 acre development in northeast Phoenix combines retail, residential, and office space in a much higher density than other suburban areas. Legislative Democrats Included in Budget
Arizona Democrats did not play a role in the first series of budget bills that Governor Brewer used her line-item veto on. But they did help craft an education budget in the special session, and could play a role in helping solve Arizona's long-term fiscal needs. KJZZ's Paul Atkinson reports.
