Special Series: Renewable Energy in AZ

solarpower2.jpg Why hasn't Arizona become a leader in renewable energy? That's the focus of a special KJZZ News series starting Monday, Jan. 5. The series will examine Arizona's policies and emerging renewable energy industry. KJZZ News then takes listeners to Germany to see how a county with much less sun has devoted millions to the development of sun and wind powered energy. Listeners will find out what lessons Arizona can learn from Germany's experience. The series will take a closer look at the potential for wind-powered energy in Arizona and crunch the numbers to find how just how beneficial renewable energy could be to Arizonans. KJZZ's Here and Now will discuss the issue from 11-noon Wednesday, Jan. 7. To post a comment or question, click 'More Info.'
