( Phoenix, AZ ) KJZZ News won two regional Edward R. Murrow Awards in 2005. Mark Moran was recognized for his story on efforts to create a Chinese National baseball team. Rene Gutel won an award for her story about the local Nintendo inspired rock group called the Minibosses.

The Olympic Games in Athens are still nearly a year away, but the U.S. Baseball Team is already out to defent the gold medal it won in Sydney four years ago. Team USA trained here in the valley this fall and is out to earn a spot in next summer's games. KJZZ's Mark Moran reports.

The Rise of Nintendo RockThe average video game player these days is 29 years old, according to the Entertainment Software Association. They are mostly men, who grew up on Atari and Nintendo in the 1980s. Now they play X-Box or Playstation 2. While they may have outgrown their Nintendo games, KJZZ's Rene Gutel reports that at least one Phoenix rock band is reluctant to leave that Nintendo world behind.
