( Phoenix, AZ ) A rare celestial event takes place late tonight. A total eclipse of the sun. Unfortunately it won't be seen anywhere in the Southwest, or in North America at all, but in parts of Africa. An Arizona astrophysicist will be in Ghana to witness the eclipse and lead a conference on African astronomy. KJZZ's Rene Gutel reports.
