( Phoenix, AZ ) Here and Now tackles the growing trend of local police enforcing federal immigration law. First, the program looks back at the lessons learned from the 'Chandler Roundup.' Ten years ago. Chandler police were sued after an immigration sweep resulted in the stopping of anyone who looked 'Mexican.' Here and Now also looks at concerns surrounding a new 'Illegal Immigrant Hotline" and the growing trend of police seeking training to enforce federal immigration law.
