The first hour examined taxes and what role the wealthy play in paying their fair share. The second hour featured Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano and focused on water supply and conservation. The show featured calls from around the world.

Arizona Republican legislators and schools chiefs Tom Horne have filed appeals against a recent federal court order that sets March 2008 as the deadline for the state to earmark funds for English Language Instruction. Arizona's employer sanctions law hasn't taken effect yet, but it's already having an impact on businesses, employees and undocumented workers. Here and Now host Steve Goldstein talked to a number of people to get their analysis about what's going on. Besides Glen Hamer of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Mexican Consul General Carlos Flores Vizcarra, Goldstein spoke with Jim Weiers, speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives about improving the law and Tom Donahue of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce about the need for a federal solution to illegal immigration.

Tuberculosis patient Robert Daniels is back in Phoenix. He's the man who sparked a national debate over the ethics of forced quarantine in cases of infectious disease. Daniels spent 11 month in a lock down facility at the Maricopa Medical Center, after he went out in public without a face mask. He was eventually flown to Denver for medical treatment, where he had his left lung removed.
