Migrant Diary: Her Own Southern Border

Tiffany Owen grew up near Toronto in Canada.  She crossed into America when she was a young girl and hopes to become an American citizen one day.  As a stage manager, she looks for jobs in theatres across the U.S. like the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis. ( Phoenix, AZ ) With the new employer sanctions law going into effect in a few days, the debate over immigrants taking American jobs continues here in Arizona. While many people focus on migrants who cross the U.S./Mexico border, KJZZ's Marcos Najera found a young woman who mader her way over the Canadian border to find work. This is the third in an occasional series of first person stories called 'The Migrant Diaries.'
