L:inda Gorman from AAA Arizona and Susan Tierney of Valley Metro discuss the impact of high gas prices on local travel.
( Phoenix, AZ ) In an effort to make up for the high cost of fuel, US Airways and other airlines are now charging for baggage. US Airways will soon start charging for sodas and juice on flights. Here and Now looked at the airline industry and the direction its headed. The program also looked at the impact high gas prices has on driving and why some are turning to other modes of transportation such as bikes, motorcycles, and buses.
