Mariana Dale is a multi-platform journalist who joined KJZZ’s digital desk in 2016.
Dale previously worked at Arizona Public Media as an online reporter and editor where she learned to juggle a microphone, recorder, camera and notebook while tweeting. She helped launch a community storytelling project that pushed public media beyond the airwaves and into the community.
She previously reported for the Arizona Daily Star, was a Pulliam Fellow at the Arizona Republic and interned for NPR’s Morning Edition in Culver City, California. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
Dale is grateful for the mentoring of the New York Times Student Journalism Institute, the Chips Quinn Scholars program and AIR’s New Voices Scholars.
