Judicial nominees and Arizona?s judicial emergency

Richmond University law professor Carl Tobias explains the compromise between U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for judicial nominee voting.

Tobias says that the current agreement excludes several excellent candidates, but new compromises can still be reached. Tobias also comments on Arizona’s state of judicial emergency. He says Arizona is still in a dire situation, but it will be another six months before the state can renew its status.
