Latino protesters march against racial profiling

Hundreds of protesters marched in downtown Phoenix on Sunday against Arizona's immigration law, SB 1070. As KJZZ's Mark Moran reports, some Latinos in the group say they're being racially profiled.

The U.S. Supreme Court upheld one of the most contentious parts of the law last month, saying that police must ask someone for documentation if the officer suspects the person is in the country illegally.

Protesters in Phoenix, many of whom say they are legal residents, claim that they've been stopped simply because they're Latinos.

Gov. Jan Brewer, who signed the bill in April 2010, says the state will not tolerate racial profiling.

Protesters chanted, 'This is not what democracy looks like,' and wore T-shirts  that said 'We will not comply, down with SB 1070.'

The march stopped at the immigration agency's Phoenix headquarters.
