An expert explains why it gets hazy and which air conditions Phoenix residents need to worry about.
Trevor Baggiore, deputy director of the Air Quality Division at ADEQ, said Wednesday morning’s haze is a result of residual dust and air moisture from the monsoon. He says that a light haze doesn’t pose any health concern, but the heavy dust during a storm shouldn’t be taken lightly. Baggiore says Valley residents should also be cautious of ozone levels because they’ve been higher this summer than previous summers.
