Arts Roundup News 2012

A community’s arts and cultural scene is a reflection of its well being. The Valley’s arts and cultural institutions are alive and well thanks to you-- playing a significant role in our economy, addressing social issues, enhancing education and improving our quality of life. We are delighted to partner with the following organizations, which actively choose to sponsor your favorite public radio stations, KJZZ and KBAQ-- your classical companion at the heart of the arts. Our arts partners are joining forces to provide you with special discounts for the 2012-2013 season as a thank you for your support of public radio and the arts.

The 2012-2013 season offers something for everyone and with subscriptions, mini-package specials and single tickets available-- attending the opera has never been easier. Arizona Opera brings grand opera in a grand style to Phoenix and Tucson. From the dark Scottish highlands of Lucia di Lammermoor and classics such as Il Trovatore, to the comedy of The Marriage of Figaro, this season is diverse and magnificent. Take advantage of a special “10% off” for tickets to Lucia di Lammermoor or Roméo et Juliette. Use code: NPR10 .
ASU Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts launches a season of extraordinary performing arts ranging from world premiere theatre and dance productions to lyric opera theatre, organ and classical guitar concerts. The Herberger Institute also offers more than 600 jazz, choral and ensemble concerts, exhibitions, films, lectures, and symposia at little or no cost. Order tickets to three or more events by Sept. 1 to receive a 20 percent discount or by Oct. 1 to save 15 percent.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day is the ballet adaptation of Romeo & Juliet, perhaps the greatest love story ever told.
