Sedona property rights won't be heard by top court

The Arizona Supreme Court won't consider appeals of a ruling stemming from a voter-approved property rights law.

Separate appeals were filed by the city of Sedona and a business that owned a luxury home that the city said was a rental property.

A trial judge had upheld Sedona's ordinance generally banning short-term residential rentals, but that ruling was overturned by the state Court of Appeals, which said Sedona's rental ban appears to run afoul of the property rights law.
