The U.S. Senate finished a marathon session over the weekend, and then members went back to their home states, where most of them will stay until Election Day, Nov. 6.
When they return to Washington for a lame-duck session, there will be a long list of to-do items. But will there be the political will or power of cooperation to complete the list?
