A new report shows that Arizona’s Hispanic population will account for $40 billion in consumer spending this year, and this number is expected to rise.
The report, released by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber and the Arizona Hispanic Chamber, notes that spending will likely increase to $50 billion by 2015.
One of the reasons for this dramatic increase, experts say, is that the Hispanic population has a higher fertility rate than non-Hispanics, leading to considerably larger families.
