Wrong-Way Ammo Driver May Soon Go Free

EL PASO, Texas -- After six months in a Mexican prison, American truck driver Jabin Bogan may soon be released. A Mexican judge ordered him to pay a $1,500 fine and sentenced him to three years supervised leave.

Bogan was detained in the Mexican city of Juárez when he drove across the international border with more than 200,000 rounds of ammunition in his tractor-trailer.

Bogan’s attorney says he crossed the international border by mistake. He has been jailed in Mexico since April.
