Sale of Frank Lloyd Wright home falls through

The fate of a Phoenix home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright appears to be up in the air once again.

The house was occupied by Frank Lloyd Wright’s son David and daughter-in-law Gladys until their deaths. Located near 56 th Street and Camelback, the house was bought earlier this year by a company that planned to demolish it and split the lot in two. After a public outcry, the owners agreed to put the house on the market in the hope of finding a preservation-minded buyer.

In late October, word came that an anonymous buyer had agreed to purchase the property. But now the real estate broker who’s handling the Arcadia home says the deal has fallen through. Robert Joffe says he plans to put the house back on the market to the tune of $2.4 million.
