Fewer endangered wolves found dead

Four Mexican Gray Wolves were found killed in the wild in Arizona and New Mexico during 2012, fewer than in past years.

Three of those endangered wolves were shot illegally.

But federal officials say efforts to keep the wolves away from livestock may have helped reduce the number of wolves killed.
