Tucson program seeks to help recent dropouts earn high school diploma

The Tucson Mayor is joining forces with Sunnyside Unified School District to encourage dropouts to earn their high school diploma through a new program.

The partnership, announced Thursday, is called GradLink. It targets Tucson-area students who dropped out of high school in the past two years. The district hopes to enroll up to 100 youth in the online graduation program. GradLink students will be provided with a laptop and access to online curriculum and teachers.
