Kingman says water system is clean despite complaints

Some residents of northwest Arizona are less than happy about their drinking water. KJZZ's Dennis Lambert reports.

The city of Kingman has had to flush its water system, as a result of resident complaints. Some residents claimed the water coming from city taps smelled terrible and was horrible to the taste.

Water Superintendent George Sedich says the complaints began after a change in the way the city puts chlorine in its water, but that tests have shown the water is clean and there's no indication of harmful bacteria.

Newspaper reports indicate the complaints are spotty, with some complaining about the water, while nearby residents think it's fine.
