Former Arizona Diamondbacks player and broadcaster Mark Grace pleaded guilty to a drunk driving charge this morning. This is his second DUI charge.
As part of the plea agreement his sentence will include work release jail time, three years probation and an interlock device on his vehicle for six months.
The Arizona Diamondbacks fired Grace from his broadcasting job after his arrest last summer.
In a statement today, the Diamondbacks announced that Grace will serve as a team coach during spring training and serve as a minor league coach during the regular season. It’s unclear where the minor league position will be, since one of the conditions of his plea agreement is that he must get court permission before leaving the state.
