Submitting other's early ballots might become a felony

A bill approved Monday in the Arizona Senate, would make it a felony for members of a political group to submit a voter's ballot on their behalf, although a family member could still deliver the vote.  Supporters of the measure say it's an effort to fight voter interference. Opponents, like Senator Steve Gallardo, see that measure and a companion, that removes inactive mail-in voters from the voting rolls differently.

“This particular approach only will attempt to, unfortunately, disenfranchise many voters in the state of Arizona ,” Gallardo said.

The bills now go to the Arizona House.
