Arizona and the Voting Rights Act

Attorney General Tom Horne wants Arizona to be freed from some provisions of the Voting Rights Act, which was created during the 1960s Civil Rights Movement.

KJZZ's Nick Blumberg explains how provisions currently apply to Arizona. Dan Pochoda, Legal Director of the Arizona ACLU, argues that the Voting Rights Act has been effective and should remain intact.
