StoryCorps Phoenix: Amy Donohue and James Pietragallo

We are pleased to share the voices and conversations of our community from StoryCorps Phoenix. StoryCorps Phoenix is the project that records the stories of everyday people and archives them at the Library of Congress.

The StoryCorps Mobile Booth is parked at the Phoenix Art Museum and has been very busy. We’ll air a conversation each Monday on KJZZ as part of the Phoenix visit.

Today, a conversation with Amy Donohue and her friend James Pietragallo. Amy is a stand-up comedian, writer, and social media guru.

Two years ago she volunteered to help a friend’s mother with a life-threatening condition. She came to StoryCorps Phoenix to talk with her close friend James about her experience. They have started a non-profit organization to encourage others to donate a kidney.
