One dead, one in critical condition after weekend vehicle collision

One man is dead, another in critical condition, after a dirt bike hit another vehicle over the weekend in Gilbert. Joaquinn Enriquez of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says alcohol may have been a factor in the incident.

“The motorcycle, the dirt bike, was traveling southbound on Power Road when a vehicle made a left turn and the motorcycle collided with the vehicle,” Enriquez said.

Enriquez says the dirt bike did not have a headlight. The 19-year-old passenger died at Maricopa Medical Center . The 26-year-old driver is in critical condition.  The driver of the other vehicle was not injured but could face criminal charges.
