Bear concerns in Sierra Vista

The Arizona Game and Fish Department said there could be problems with nuisance bears in southern Arizona once again this year.  Spokesman Mark Hart said they have had their first sighting of a bear in the Sierra Vista area, a place where bears became a problem last year.

"The bear was in a residential housing area at Fort Huachuca overnight. The bear weighed about 150 pounds and was driven off by the MPs' without incident," Hart said.

Hart said homeowners should be careful putting out garbage cans, and campers should not place food in tents.
