A professor visiting Arizona from Spain has died while hiking in the desert. Tamra Ingersoll of the Pinal County Sheriff's Office said the victim was with two other colleagues who were in the state for a convention when they went on a hike in the Table Top Mountains late Wednesday morning.
"One of three men collapsed and was unable to continue hiking. He said his muscles hurt, he was too weak," Ingersoll said. "He was feeling dizzy and disoriented and eventually went unconscious."
Ingersoll said the man died on the scene despite efforts by his friends to revive him.
