Arizona drivers are seeing some relief at the gas pump, ahead of the Independence Day weekend, as prices stabilized somewhat this week. The statewide average this morning is $3.50 a gallon, up a little more than a penny from a week ago, but still 10 cents below the national average of $3.60, according to AAA Arizona spokeswoman Michelle Donatti.
“The national average is being influenced by some states that are coming down from some price surges from the last couple of weeks,” Donatti said. “ Arizona wasn’t one of those states.”
Donatti expects the stability to continue, despite the typical upward push of gas prices during the summer months.
