Doce Fire contained, but not out

Fire officials now say they have fully contained the Doce Fire, burning northwest of Prescott. The blaze, which charred about 10-and-a-half-square acres of the Prescott National Forest, is not, however, completely out, according to fire spokesman Bill Morse.

“We don’t call it out until all the smokes are out, and there’ve been a few smokes popping up during the day but those are well within the perimeter of the fire,” Morse said.

Smokes are the little plumes you might see coming from the fire area. He says it's expected there will be occasional flare-ups inside the containment lines, over next few days.
