Bus service will continue as normal Monday, Tuesday

Bus riders in metro Phoenix will be able to catch their normal buses Monday and Tuesday. Susan Tierney of Valley Metro said while the bus operators and the Amalgamated Transit Union have not settled their contract differences, the buses are running,

“They will run as scheduled today and through Tuesday,” Tierney said. “However, passengers need to stay tuned because the talks will continue between our bus operator and the Union .”

The two sides are to meet again Tuesday, in an effort to hammer out a contract agreement. First Transit operates 40 local, express and circulator routes, most of them in the East Valley .
