The craft of writing and maybe even more so the act of finishing the project, whether it is a journal, a short story or a novel, is extremely personal. Ron Carlson is a critically-acclaimed novelist, but he has also been a professor of writing for nearly 30 years, 20 of those at Arizona State University. His newest novel "Return to Oakpine" has an especially intimate, personal feel. It tells the story of a group of friends who reunite in their hometown.
Carlson will be at Changing Hands Bookstore in Tempe next Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
