The New York man who has been indicted for threatening to kill two CNN anchors has allegedly confessed to tweeting about the plots to kill Jane Valez-Mitchell and Nancy Grace. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio says David Simpson's car had been packed with guns, zip ties and a knife, and he was ready to leave New York for Georgia . And, Arpaio says the murders weren't the only crimes he allegedly had in mind.
“When he did arrive in Phoenix he made a statement that he built some pipe bombs, bombs, and planted these bombs in a certain area in northern Pennsylvania ,” Arpaio said.
Simpson was upset with the news anchors over their coverage of the Jodi Arias murder trial. A Phoenix woman who defended the anchors also received a threatening tweet.
