High Pressure Over Arizona Means More Unseasonably Hot Temperatures

With the Valley under an excessive heat warning from 10 a.m. Tuesday until 8 p.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service is predicting more unseasonably hot temperatures. Meteorologist Matthew Hersch says there’s a ridge of high pressure sitting over Arizona , but that relief is in sight.

“Through the week, we’re expecting an increase in moisture and along with that we’ll see a decrease in temperature,” Hersch said. “So we’ll see temperatures dropping back to normal values by the end of the week.”

In the forecast, looks like an increasingly likely chance of rain each day this week, becoming a 30 percent chance of storms Saturday and Sunday.
