Tempe Police's Safe And Sober Campaign Continues Through Saturday

Arizona State University students returned to class on Thursday, but many students have already been busy and not necessarily in a good way. Tempe police report that 371 people were arrested in the first three days of their Operation Safe and Sober campaign. 91 arrests were for DUIs. Not all those arrested were ASU students.

Police said the average blood alcohol content of those DUIs was .131, which is more than 50 percent above the legal limit. Police said their campaign will continue through Saturday night in Tempe.

The story was updated 8/23/2013 at 4:18 p.m. to reflect that not all those arrested were ASU students.
